Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Scope

This Policy applies to monthly Home AI Pro subscriptions purchased through Home AI or its designated checkout page and forms part of the Terms. If it conflicts with a specific checkout term for a transaction, the more specific term applies to the extent permitted by law.

2. Monthly Subscription and Immediate Performance

Pro costs US$20 per month, is billed monthly in advance, renews automatically, and has no additional free trial. After successful payment and confirmation, digital Pro benefits normally activate immediately. By purchasing and using Pro, you request immediate provision of the digital service; this does not limit mandatory cancellation or refund rights.

3. How to Cancel

Before the next renewal date, sign in, open Subscription & Billing, select Cancel Subscription, and confirm. If self-service cancellation is unavailable, email ericliang@ok.com from your registered address with your account email and non-sensitive identifying information. Do not send a complete card number by email. The account should show cancellation status and the Pro end date.

4. When Cancellation Takes Effect

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period and stops the next renewal charge. Pro remains available until then; afterwards the account returns to Free and PDF downloads stop, but historical cases are not deleted solely because of cancellation. The Free lifetime allowance of three valuations does not reset because a user subscribed to or cancelled Pro.

5. General No-Refund Rule

Except under section 6 or applicable law, no refund is provided for change of mind, non-use, failure to cancel before renewal, a changed property decision, or dissatisfaction with a non-guaranteed AI result. Unused time is not refunded pro rata; cancellation stops future renewals but does not retrospectively cancel a started period. Non-waivable consumer rights remain unaffected.

6. Refund-Eligible Circumstances

You may request a full or appropriate prorated refund for a verifiable duplicate charge, a charge differing from clearly displayed checkout amount or currency, an unauthorised transaction (subject to appropriate checks), a material Home AI technical failure preventing activation that is not fixed within three business days after complete notice, a refund required by law, or another exceptional case we grant without future commitment. For temporary delay caused by Airwallex, issuer, network, device, or third party, we first assist investigation. If core Pro functionality is continuously unavailable for more than 72 hours in a billing period for reasons attributable to Home AI, a prorated refund for the affected period may be requested; scheduled maintenance, force majeure, user devices, and third-party network failures are excluded unless law requires otherwise.

7. Request Method and Time Limit

Email ericliang@ok.com from the registered address with account email, transaction date, amount, Airwallex/order/invoice reference if available, reason, and necessary evidence. Do not send complete card numbers, CVVs, or online banking passwords. Where possible, submit within 14 calendar days; this internal period does not shorten statutory periods or your right to contact an issuer about an unauthorised transaction. We intend to acknowledge a complete request within five business days and communicate the outcome within a reasonable time.

8. Refund Method and Timing

Approved refunds normally return to the original payment method, not cash, a third-party account, or platform credit. Timing depends on Airwallex, payment networks, and the issuer; after submission, it normally appears within five to ten business days. If the original method cannot receive the refund, we will offer a legally available alternative after needed identity and compliance checks. We charge no separate refund processing fee and do not deduct the Company’s non-refundable payment processing cost from an approved refund.

9. Chargebacks and Disputes

If you do not recognise a charge, check your account and invoice and contact us promptly. You may contact the issuer as law permits. We may provide subscription, login, usage, and communication records reasonably necessary to resolve a dispute. Do not seek a refund and a chargeback for the same transaction after receiving a refund. A fraudulent chargeback may result in suspension and recovery of reasonable losses where permitted by law.
